Pakman DJ Profile Picture
If you like Pakman(on TM Radio for over 17.8 years), please, consider telling your friends.
Emaad Sami (aka Pakman) has been spinning tunes since 1998. And yes, the [music] force has always been strong with this one. In fact, as a little menace he always got into shit for snappishly cranking up the volume in his parents car when they would be driving, posing an unexpected hazard to other drivers on the road.

Early days musical interests included The Beastie Boys, 2Pac, The Smashing Pumpkins, Limp Bizkit, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and embarrassingly Scatman John and uhhum The Backstreet Boys. Moving on??

His parents work allowed him to travel the world in his teen years; Emaad has lived in Pakistan, England, Canada and South Africa. It was really in South Africa, where Emaad really started to develop his sound. Electronic music pursuits were sparked by Emaad?s attendance at his very first rave at a shady factory in downtown Johannesburg, quite possibly the easiest place to get murdered in under 10 seconds. But alas, the 3 story high speakers blasting sweet sweet bass onto the cold cement dance floor got him hooked instantly (with the help of some mental supplements??maybe)

From the early tribal influences of Steve Lawler?s beginnings at Home in London, Emaad?s sound has been shaped by John Digweed, M.A.N.D.Y, James Holden, Nintendo, Atari, Richie Hawtin, Adam Freeland, James Lavelle, Boards of Canada, AFX, Rockers Hi Fi, Lamb, M83, Superpitcher, Petter, and Radiohead amongst many others??..

His genre defying sound has been exhibited mostly in Montreal, Canada, where he now resides under the alias Pakman. The name was born out of an extremely politically incorrect name calling exercise with his friend on Indo-Pak politics, and is an abbreviated version of Pakiman, the most inappropriate slag towards a person from the country. Emaad has played at various Montreal clubs such as Buddha Bar, Tokyo, Sofia?s, Kaffeine as well as the renowned after hours loft parties in Vieux Montreal??
